Hi, I’m Misha.

I’m a frontend engineer. The best part of my job is simple: somewhere, someone clicks a button I made and their day gets a little easier.
This isn’t a CV — just me, telling you about myself.

A bit about me

Where it started, and what keeps me busy now.

It started back in school, when I built a weather station with an Arduino. Seeing something I’d made actually work hooked me for good. At university I fell for the web: no soldering required, and anything I build is just one link away from anyone. I’ve been at it ever since.

Honestly, most of my hobbies come with a screen: microcontrollers, video games, anime. Then there’s JDM. I love the car culture, even if I couldn’t explain what’s going on under the hood, so Forza Horizon is my garage for now. Someday, I hope, I’ll see it all in Japan — the cars, the anime, all of it, off the screen for once.

A bit about work

The parts of the job I actually enjoy, and a few stories behind them.

  1. Pretty and practical

I like interfaces that look good and feel easy to use — and I don’t think you should have to pick one.
  2. Old code, new tricks

jQuery to React, RequireJS to Webpack, Babel to SWC — I like taking an old codebase and moving it forward without breaking what people rely on.
  3. Teammates are users too

I like making life easier not just for the people using the product, but for the people building it with me.
FARPOST · VERIFICATION PAGE
×2completed seller verifications
problem
One scary form for everyone — sellers couldn’t tell which fields were meant for them.
fix
Split the fields into tabs by seller status, so everyone sees only what’s theirs. Plus a fresh look and hints along the way.
result
Twice as many sellers made it through, and verified accounts grew by 10%.
FARPOST · BUILD
−47%JS bundle size
problem
We split code by hand in RequireJS, so the same module often shipped twice — copied into several bundles, or inlined into one even though it already had its own entry point.
fix
Moved to Webpack and let it own the splitting. Adding a module got simpler, and Webpack could optimize the bundle on its own.
result
The JS bundle shrank to about half its old size.
FARPOST · STORYBOOK
1 placefor every component and its states
problem
Designers couldn’t easily see how components really looked in production — so the same button ended up with several versions.
fix
Set up Storybook: every component and all its states, plus a fresh build for every branch.
result
Design and code finally looked at the same thing.
